My name is Valerie and I was born and raised on Long Island. I’ve always enjoyed cooking and baking, but leaned more toward baking because I love the discipline  and science of the process, yet find the creative freedom in experimenting with new flavors amazing, inspiring and downright fun.

My original company, Sweet Epiphany, came to be because a radio DJ started talking about passion, and how to make a living doing what you love, thus, the “epiphany”. The next steps were to make it official and successful. I made cupcakes and loved every minute of the process but I was also working a full-time job and couldn’t devote my whole self to the business. A couple of things have changed - one was the name. The passion is the still the same, and I am baking full time now.

Being a proud Long Islander, I appreciate all the offerings we have access to - from the wineries and farmstands to the pristine beaches and incredible restaurants. My goal is to have my cupcakes become part of the landscape and magic that is Long Island.

I use locally sourced ingredients when possible and craft each cake with love and care.  I even make my own extracts from local organic fruits and LIV Vodka.
